The Mears Foundation recently provided a grant to commission the Peel Project to work with Mears' asylum team to introduce fitness/boxercise classes.
Colleagues from Mears recognised the importance of providing weekly sessions to service users to boost physical and mental health, confidence and develop discipline.
The sessions have been an excellent success, with participation increasing per week.
A coach from the Peel Project said –
Overall, it has been a good start, the one hour of training each week is an excellent work out for them, we feel the guys are enjoying it!
